"Capitalism killed more than communism."
Those who say this believe that Capitalism is responsible for wars and natural disasters. Some would retort that Socialism is similarly blamed for things outside of its control, but there's a difference. Whenever socialism has been practiced, it has had unimposed local control, while capitalism has been hampered by the state and crony corporations that people think are the point of Capitalism, so the system couldn't have the same chance of addressing natural disasters that Socialism has. Furthermore, Socialists often ignore how there was a wide degree of authority in where the food would be sent in their countries than Capitalists could when giving food across the seas, and how the Authoritarian socialists purposefully starved dissidents.
Another aspect they miss is that the countries they dismiss as State Capitalists still contained some form of economic equality and there wasn't a market system for the politicians to get rich from. It also ignored that they got rich from the socialist revolution and still had command economies, and still attempted to spread socialism.
Also, the term "Capitalism" has always been nebulous since its inception, as a phrase used by socialists. As such, it's not meant to look for alternatives to the current economic system that aren't based on the abolition of private property and some degree of economic collectivism. All forms of socialism are defined as socialism and are anti-capitalist in some way. At worst, they're monarchists, not Capitalists.
